The kid's 2 years old and I'm already an also-ran
Me: "Guess what, Evan? We're going to see your friend Kerry tomorrow!"
Evan: "Yay! Kerry is so, so cute!"
Me: "You're right. She is cute."
Evan (pauses, studies me for a moment, then pats my shoulder): "Mommy cute, too."

Awww, how sweet! You're lucky -- my boys usually only comment on my appearance to ask why my belly is so fat or to tell me my ass is big.
An also-ran? Nah, he's only momentarily blinded by Kerry's coquetry. That'll pass, and you'll still be there.
Kerrys come and go, Mommys are forever. ;)
